I was in need of a climbing trip to help "feed the rat" and the Grand Teton has always been on my to-do list since first seeing it years ago. The opportunity came up to climb this technical peak with some close friends as well as climb the high point of Montana and hang out in Yellowstone for a few days while pushing my climbing comfort limit just about to the brink. Check it out........
Devils Tower: Since Wayne and I left Colorado before the rest of the group, we had a day to kill and Devils Tower was just a few hours out of the way.
Granite Peak: The highest point in Montana at 12,799ft and considered by many to be the hardest state highpoint in the lower 48.
Yellowstone National Park: We had to pass through Yellowstone to get between Granite Peak and the Grand Teton. May as well spend a couple days doing the touristy stuff!
Grand Teton: Wow, what a peak! The backdrop of Jackson, WY and the reason for a national park in the area. 13,770ft high and no easy way to the summit.
